Mercy Measurement Initiatives

Mercy Housing's Resident Services are an integral part of our mission. These services include after-school and summer programs for children, financial education classes for adults and health care services for seniors. They provide our residents with opportunities, tools and resources to help them to stabilize their lives, develop economic self-sufficiency and become active participants in their communities.

Since 2001, the Mercy Measurement Initiative (MMI) has enabled Mercy Housing to analyze and demonstrate the impact of our resident services. Through a real-time database, our Resident Services staff members track whether our programs are helping residents achieve stability – the root of Mercy Housing's mission. The MMI database tracks a variety of measures including the percentage of residents who:

  • Pay rent on time every month
  • Connect with health and wellness resources as a result of Resident Services
  • Give back to their communities
  • Maintain or improve their grades in reading and language arts
  • Demonstrate improved financial literacy skills
  • Are registered to vote

As a result of MMI, Mercy Housing is a leader in the affordable housing industry. The Mercy Measurement Initiative proves to the public how we achieve our mission daily.
