Apr 04U.S. Bank Donates 1,000 School Supplies to Mercy Housing Children

U.S. Bank donated more than 1,000 school supplies to children who reside in Mercy Housing Lakefront properties earlier this spring.
The donation helped hundreds of children prepare for a successful second-half of the school year.
“We recognize that these students are inspired to succeed, and we want to ensure that they had the correct tools to do so,” shared Rob McGhee, Vice President of Community Affairs at U.S. Bank.

The school supplies included materials for students of all ages and included notebooks, folders, paint, scissors, workbooks, pencils, etc.
“Due to the generosity of U.S. Bank, over 20 children from the MHL’s After-School Program in the Austin neighborhood were able to fill their backpacks with school supplies. The children were so excited to see tables full of supplies and were over the moon when they learned that they got to bring them home,” stated Whitney Nash, MHL Resident Services and After-School Program Manager.
