Community Coming Together

people line up at pop-up food pantryThe Bellevue branch of Eastern Nebraska Community Action Partnership (ENCAP) reached out to staff at Crestview Villlage Apartments in La Vista, NE, asking to set up a food pantry site during the pandemic. Staff and volunteers got right to work, setting up an orderly system to distribute the food, while maintaining social distancing. Thanks to donors and community partners like ENCAP, the pop-up food pantry was able to distribute over 2,000 pounds of food to residents!

Crestview Village Apartments provides 154 homes for low-income families.

A special shout out goes to Carmen Bradley from ENCAP who helped facilitate all of this! For more than 50 years, Eastern Nebraska Community Action Partnership (ENCAP) has helped Nebraskans improve their lives by providing access to the education, resources, and tools they need to help themselves.

We are grateful for our supporters who are helping low-income residents get something to eat during the coronavirus pandemic. If you would like to donate to the Resident Relief Fund, click here.
