There was a lot to celebrate at Moving Forward Together 2022! We loved seeing so many familiar faces and meeting new Mercy Housing Lakefront supporters at our largest in-person gathering since the beginning of the pandemic. Thank you to our sponsors and supporters — we would not be able to do what we do without you.
We heard from Mercy Housing Lakefront resident Albert who shared his story of healing, growing, and thriving while living at the Johnston Center in Milwaukee, WI. We were also delighted to recognize our amazing community partner, the Weinberg/Newton Gallery, a non-commercial gallery with a mission to collaborate with nonprofit organizations and artists on social justice, with the Wintrust Partners in Innovation Award.
We were honored to present the Spirit of Mercy Award to Robert Mathes from Linn-Mathes Inc. for his lifetime dedication to helping create a more humane world. We were also thrilled to present Pamyla Fountain Brown, Community and Citizenship Director at Turner Construction Company, with the Inspiring Hope Award. This award recognizes an individual who has overcome adversity and inspires hope.
Moving Forward Together also hosted an honest conversation around inclusive community development. Pamyla joined Mercy Housing Lakefront’s Board Chairman, Phil Ashton, and Regional Director of Real Estate Development, Edgar Flagg, to discuss this important topic.
We continue our mission to create stable, vibrant, and healthy communities by developing, financing, and operating affordable, program-enriched housing for those who need it the most. We are grateful for each of you. Thank you for all that you do.
