Expanding in South Carolina

More affordable housing is coming to Greenville County, South Carolina, as Mercy Housing Southeast continues the construction of 88 new apartments at Belvedere in Mauldin. This new community will house families in 1-2-and 3-bedroom apartments, including nine units reserved for people exiting homelessness, with support from the Greenville Housing Authority. The apartments will be available to families with 20 to 80% of the area median income (AMI).

The project is being built with funding from the Greenville County Redevelopment Authority (GCRA), which includes HOME, HOME-ARP, Affordable Housing, Mercy Capital Magnet, and Mercy Gap funds.

Convenient Location and Onsite Amenities

Located on Butler Road, a prominent thoroughfare, Belvedere provides convenient proximity to medical facilities, educational institutions, and employment opportunities. Onsite amenities include shared spaces, a gym, workstations, and a playground.
Onsite services will include wellness programs, financial and housing stability support, and student academic enrichment, such as after-school activities and summer camps. Coordinated by dedicated resident services staff, these programs will be offered to all residents at no cost. Mercy Housing’s vision extends beyond providing homes—we aim to build vibrant, healthy, and secure communities where residents can thrive.
Belvedere is slated to open in October 2025, adding more high-quality, energy-efficient, community-oriented apartments in Greenville, SC.
