Wells Fargo Foundation Grant Awarded to Family and Senior Communities

Funding helps make improvements at three affordable housing communities in Colorado

Mercy Housing Mountain Plains (MHMP) was presented with $75,000 from the Wells Fargo Foundation for indoor and outdoor improvements at three communities in Colorado – Springfield Court in Fort Collins, and Francis Heights and Grace Apartments, both in Denver. Staff and residents also teamed up with Wells Fargo volunteers for a day dedicated to beautifying the affordable housing communities as part of the company’s Welcome Home volunteer initiative.

Throughout the day, Wells Fargo volunteers and Mercy Housing Mountain Plains residents worked side by side on multiple beautification projects. Springfield Court benefited from makeovers to the community room and food pantry, while Francis Heights got a “refresh” to the connecting tunnel between the towers. Meanwhile, a fall-season clean-up was happening in the community garden at Grace Apartments.

Strong Partnership Builds Strong Communities

“We are incredibly grateful for this generous grant, which will allow us to expand our efforts and make an even greater impact in the communities we serve,” said Mercy Housing Mountain Plains President, Shelly Marquez. “As we saw today, this funding is a vital step toward achieving our mission, and we are thankful for the support and trust placed in us.”
