About Villa Columbia
Villa Columbia, one of Tehama County’s first affordable housing developments, stands on the former site of the Sisters of Mercy convent and St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, both built in the early 1900s. The original convent was relocated to the site of the new St. Elizabeth’s hospital. The property opened in 1982 and was named after Sister Mary Columba, a Sister of Mercy who served the Red Bluff Community.
